Program Transitions
A portion of individuals were transitioned to other programs after completing their renewal (post renewal). The Unwind: Program Transitions dashboard shows the public insurance program transitions among those who were enrolled in Medicaid, Essential Plan (EP), or Child Health Plus (CHP) before the unwind (pre renewal). While some individuals remained on the same public insurance program that they had pre renewal, others transitioned to a different public insurance program post renewal, due to changes in their income, age, household size, immigration status, etc. People who did not qualify for any public insurance program upon renewal are listed as ineligible. The program transitions data do not reflect individuals who have health insurance coverage outside of the marketplace, such as Medicare or employer sponsored insurance, or who moved out of state.
The dashboard displays monthly program transitions for those originally enrolled in Medicaid, EP, and CHP who are completing renewals. Program transitions for each month's cohort completing renewals can be viewed by using the dropdown tool to select the month and year of renewal cohort to view.
