Join UHF’s Legacy Society with a
Planned Gift

Please consider including UHF in your estate plans and make a lasting impact on UHF’s work and the health of New Yorkers for generations to come. A bequest may allow you to make a more significant gift than you could otherwise afford in your lifetime and may also reduce your estate taxes. Moreover, your support will enable UHF to continue its role as a trusted, independent force for health care improvement for future generations.

Spotlight on Members of UHF’s Legacy Society
Barclay Collins
“It has been a deep privilege for me to help nurture organizations that serve the public good, and I think it’s important to support in perpetuity the organizations that have been important to you. UHF provides an independent voice on issues of policy that are extremely important.”
Pat and Bob Levinson
After Pat Levinson’s death, Bob Levinson informed UHF of two very generous gifts that Pat and he had planned, one to UHF’s endowment and one that supports the work of the Patricia S. Levinson Fellow at UHF. “Pat cared deeply about UHF, and her involvement reinforced what makes it so worth supporting.”
Fred Telling
“I would say to anyone who cares about the development of sound public policy on health care that there is no better way to help make that happen than investing in United Hospital Fund. To me, leaving a bequest to UHF is a way to continue to be part of improving the things I care about.”

You can include UHF in your will or living trust with a designation of any amount, percentage, or specific asset, or by naming UHF a beneficiary of your retirement plan or life insurance policy. When discussing your estate plans with your lawyer or financial advisor, you may want to consider incorporating the following simple language in your will:

“I give and bequeath to United Hospital Fund of New York, federal tax identification number 13-1562656 the sum of $___ or __ percent of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate, for its general purposes.”

If you have already named UHF in your planning, we hope you will let us know. It would be an honor to welcome you as a member of the Legacy Society and to thank you for your future gift. To inform UHF of your legacy gift, or for any additional questions, please contact Emily Regas, Director of Major Gifts, at 212-494-0743 or eregas@uhfnyc.org
