The Affordable Care Act and other federal health care reforms have helped New York reduce its uninsured rate by half. In a series of issue briefs dating back to 2010, the Health Insurance Project has assisted in this effort by informing state decisions about implementation and possible enhancements to the ACA, and helping to defend coverage gains from harmful federal legislative and regulatory proposals.
