Information to Assist Parents and Pediatric Providers during COVID-19 Outbreak

Ensuring children’s safety and well-being during uncertain and chaotic times is critically important. To aid parents and pediatric and social service providers as they respond to numerous challenges arising from COVID-19, United Hospital Fund’s Children’s Health Initiative has compiled two lists of resources from trusted sources:

1) COVID-19 Parenting Resources is a handout for parents. It contains resources in the following areas: General Information about Coronavirus for Families; Talking to Children about Coronavirus; Parenting during the Coronavirus Outbreak; Recognizing and Managing Stress; Social Distancing and Staying Home; Activities and Resources for Children and Families at Home. Some resources are in multiple languages.

2) COVID-19 Provider Resources was developed to assist pediatric and social service providers. It contains infographics that can be used in the workplace, professional guidance on working with children and families in crisis and disaster situations, and resources to help frontline professionals practice self-care.
