The 2020 annual report highlights UHF’s work during a tumultuous and uniquely challenging year as we focused on both immediate needs in the face of COVID-19 and long-term, systemic challenges for New York’s health care system.
The following pages provide highlights of our accomplishments and contributions in three overarching areas: affordable and comprehensive insurance coverage and access to services; quality, equity, patient experience, and efficiency of health care delivery; and partnerships between the health care delivery system, public health agencies, and communities to address social needs affecting health. In each of these areas, we are working to dismantle barriers in health policy and health care delivery that prevent equitable opportunities for health.
