UHF hosted a webinar ,“National Landscape of Outpatient Antibiotic Stewardship and Strategies for Engaging Prescribers on Data Findings,” on September 22, 2016. The presentation was given by Guillermo Sanchez, PA-C, MPH, a public health scientist in the Office of Antibiotic Stewardship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It suggests opportunities for improvement in outpatient antibiotic prescribing; points out barriers to appropriate outpatient antibiotic prescribing and methods to overcome them; and identifies effective interventions to improve outpatient antibiotic prescribing.
