Catherine Arnst, an award winning health journalist and communications specialist, has joined United Hospital Fund as director of public information.
Ms. Arnst came to UHF from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), the nation's largest foundation devoted to U.S. health, where she was the communications officer for media relations. Prior to her role at RWJF, Ms. Arnst was vice president and director of content development for the health practice at Edelman Public Relations.
The bulk of her career has been spent as a journalist covering health and medicine. She was a senior writer for BusinessWeek for 15 years, and before that served as the European science correspondent for Reuters News Service, based in London. She also worked for Reuters as the Boston correspondent, specializing in medical and technology coverage. She has also freelanced for a variety of outlets, including the Boston Globe, US News & World Report, Kaiser Health News, and The Daily Beast.
Ms. Arnst holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Boston University.
