United Hospital Fund's Tribute to Excellence in Health Care, recognizing quality improvement champions, celebrates the depth and breadth of health care in the New York metropolitan region. The event honors quality improvement champions selected from participating hospital systems, long-term care facilities, home care organizations, independent practice associations, and federally qualified health centers for their work to improve quality of care, patient safety, and the patient experience at their institutions. A special focus in 2021 was leadership specifically responding to COVID-19 or addressing health care disparities. The 2021 honorees are listed here.
Special remarks from Ashish K. Jha, MD, MPH, Dean of the School of Public Health and Professor of Health Services, Policy, and Practice at Brown University, were a highlight of the celebration.
