The Gould Visiting Scholar program was established in 2020 by Elaine and David Gould to bring high-level external expertise to existing UHF program areas and to help develop new initiatives. The Gould Visiting Scholar works on a part-time, time-limited basis on a specific UHF project that is closely aligned with UHF policy and program priorities, contributes to UHF’s broader strategic planning activities, and engages with staff to share insights and stimulate new thinking.
David Gould served as senior vice president for program at UHF for more than two decades and remains actively involved in health care policy through an array of voluntary leadership roles in New York. Elaine Gould was director of programs at the NYU Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing and has been a consultant on interdisciplinary geriatric care, geriatric training of health professionals, and aging awareness programming.
