UHF’s 2018 conference on Medicaid in New York featured an opening keynote from New York State Medicaid Director Donna Frescatore that focused on the Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) program, which led hospitals, other health care providers, and community-based organizations to collaborate on advancing delivery system reform and addressing the economic and social drivers of avoidable health care utilization. The conference also included an afternoon keynote on Medicaid’s present and future from Matt Salo, executive director of the National Association of Medicaid Directors, and panels on New York Medicaid’s children’s agenda and leveraging value-based payment reforms to address social determinants of health.

The event was held on July 18, 2018, at the New York Academy of Medicine; it was supported by The Commonwealth Fund.
