What we're accomplishing with your donations.
This event featured a conversation between food insecurity and health experts discussing partnerships between health care providers and community organizations to address food insecurity in New York.
Secure access to healthy food is increasingly recognized as a fundamental contributor to the health and well-being of communities. Health care organizations are more conscientiously investing in efforts to address unmet food needs and partnering with community-based organizations already working in this space to improve the health and well-being of individuals and communities.
This webinar discussed the intersection of food insecurity and health, as well as innovative health care and food system partnerships addressing communities’ food needs. The conversation built upon a report by UHF and Boston Consulting Group that analyzed food insecurity in New York State and explored how the health care sector can help address this urgent issue.
