Inaugurated in 1990 by the GNYHA Foundation and the United Hospital Fund, the Symposium on Health Care Services in New York: Research and Practice is held each year to foster collaboration on and understanding of current health care research in New York, build bridges among health services researchers and practitioners, and showcase the New York health services research community. The Symposium is organized in collaboration with leading health services research institutions in the New York metropolitan region, each of which is represented on the Symposium Planning Committee.
The Symposium features a keynote address by Dr. Benjamin Chu; concurrent breakout sessions on community-based organizations and chronic care management, health information technology, and primary care resource areas; and a poster session.
